I have deleted my #whatsapp account today after a month campaigning to my friends to move to #signal. Surprisingly, most of them are using Signal now!
Even if you use it alongside WhatsApp, at least your contacts won't be greeted with an empty contact list if and when they install it.

Of years ago, I forced everyone to switch from WhatsApp to telegram and now I would like to push them to signal, but I guess everyone will hate me then 
@Nichts I know what you're saying! I think in the future I'd like to move everybody to a decentralised platform, but I think I've exhausted many of my friends' goodwill for the next few years 😂
