#FB alternatives In March 2016, I joined #Minds.com as an FB alternative. It was fun back then, but then little by little, the Alt-right trickled in. Now it ressembles #Gab.ai at a lot of times. The nice people I met in the earlier days stayed away. Some did stay around. I hope this will not happen to #mastodon
@alternative_be, I made a minds.com account a couple of weeks ago and I'm getting that impression too. Though... if it starts getting as polished and loved as Mastodon seems to be, maybe FB escapees will start flocking to it and things'll balance out?
@trm I hope so, because the founders of Minds.com seem to be OK people to me. I hang on to my Minds account because it used to be a nice environment before. Luckily some of the 'older' accounts stick around too. And some of the French accounts are fine too.
@alternative_be The ability to block instances should make that harder, though I can think of ways an organised group of trolls could do a lot of damage.
