People on FB asking whether it is legal to keep in a large backyard. Since it is still to keep , and and subsequently have them , why shouldn't it be to keep sheep? talking about calling the police! A number of my neighbours keep in their backyard. Nobody calls the police! What is the difference?

I work in a semi rural bit of Eastern England and the rules seem to be its allowed as long as the animals don't escape into the road or others gardens and they are being properly looked after (including whatever RFID/tagging is required)

An old man near my work keeps these, the sheep and geese actually cooperate and sharethe best bits of grass (sometimes a cat also visits 😸 )

@alternative_be also, sheep (and even the geese) are less noisy than chickens (at least here in Suffolk...)
