#30daysofbiking today I had my first flat this year. that sucks. but I was lucky, the air that was left in my tyre was enough to take me to my favourite bike shop.
I got a new tube and they gave me tools to change it.
it rained and there was even a thunderstorm in the morning.: when I was outside, it was dry and
even sunny! yay!
I saw a demo/performance against #gentrification in #kreuzberg
CW 1 picture contains a demo with crosses like on a graveyard.
@distelfliege 😕 those padded tyres don’t exist for my kid’s wheelchair – I am sick of broken glass, too
@naimoe does it have an unusual wheel size?
@naimoe because the tyres I use are also made for wheelchairs: https://www.schwalbe.com/de/wheelchair-reader/marathon-plus.html
@distelfliege Yes, 20“ / 18mm (diameter I guess)
@distelfliege …18mm diameter of the tyre itself, not the wheel… it’s some kind of „unibody“-ultra lightweight-running-tyre (it’s a kid‘s wheelchair, so it’s smaller and my kid got it when they had 9kg so the wheelchair had to be even lighter)
@naimoe 20'' = 20 inch = rad durchmesser, nicht vom reifen.. (meistens) mein rad hat zb 28" raddurchmesser. 20" = 50,8 cm
haut das hin?
@distelfliege Ja, haut hin 🙂 Die 20“ sind der Raddurchmesser. Das ungewöhnlichere sind, glaube ich, diese 18mm Schlauchdurchmesser.
actually if you ride a bike in #berlin you have to get these padded tyres or you will have flats all the time.
the bike lanes are full of broken glass.
