I wished #Mastodon would implement this: https://activations.cdn.mozilla.net/
It would not be that difficult I presume. Hubzilla and Diaspora have it too (no don't look at me, I have other qualities 😎 😉 ) #development #Mastodondev #share #firefox

@jeroenpraat from the activations.cdn.mozilla.net/ I use Known, there is a plugin to syndicate my blog posts to #mastodon, meaning you can publish on the wide web & syndicate to mastodon instance :)
@rmdes OK, but it's not where it is used for. It is used for sharing a web page you visit. It puts the title and the URL in a text compose box, so you can share easier and quicker web pages with Mastodon.
@jeroenpraat well Known does precisely that too, I can click a button and send it to my blog as a status, bookmark or full fledged post and than syndicate it to here, like if it was a simple #mastodon client.
@rmdes But you have to publish it first somewhere else and than it's forwarded it to Mastodon. I just want to share directly to Mastodon. That is really missing.
@jeroenpraat I understand what you want, indeed, that's missing for Firefox, but available for Chrome keep an eye on this list https://github.com/tootsuite/documentation/blob/master/Using-Mastodon/Apps.md
@rmdes Yes, like Diaspora. IMHO this is high priority. A #bookmarklet or using #Firefox share service, as stated earlier. cc @Gargron
@jeroenpraat @Gargron this would indeed bring the web inside mastodon and would allow people to create value on each instance/thematic more easely, crucial importance to create fidelity on the long run & reason to return thanks to other people curation :)
