"Leave politics out of tech."
People build tech. People use tech. You cannot have tech without people. So, yes, people will be bringing politics, rights, and representation into tech with them.
The only people I see whining about politics being brought into tech are (checks notes) oh look. White men.
@alice "don't bring politics into x" doesn't ever really make sense. politics is a way for us to collectively decide how we should behave, what is or isn't ok, how society should be structured, what bounds we should place & where, etc.
how does it ever make sense to not talk politics? to be is to make a political statement, no? i don't get that attitude, tbh
