The political situation in #Brazil is even more delicate. We are now facing a military intervention in #RioDeJaneiro. A situation eerily similar to how a military #coup started back in the 60's. I wouldn't be surprised if the presidential #elections scheduled for October do not take place.

Sorry, my Spanish is too rough. But I totally agree with your analysis of what's happening in #Brazil. It is the rehearsal of a new #coup! #RioDeJaneiro is not even within the top 5 most violent cities. The justification for the intervention is also misguided: as usual, it targets the poor and ignores those who really benefit from drug trafficking. Dark days ahead :(

Such a shame being Brazilian and not speaking Spanish. I think Latin America would benefit much more if we shared a common language. At least, that's the impression I get. Plus, it makes me slightly uncomfortable to use a 3rd-country language, one with a strong colonial history, to communicate with Latin Americans :( Reading Galeano's Open Veins of Latin America just emphasises this feeling. #Goals - learn #Spanish

Si, la situación está peligrosa. Os comparto unas reflexiones de estos días que estoy en #Rio: https://izaroblog.com/2018/02/20/rio-militar/
