nice one @mike_hales I find the #fediverse much easier to use for casual discussion than #Loomio (awesome as it is for focused decision-making), and I like the fact other people can read and chime in, like a coffee-queue chat at a conference
Glad I found my way here @strypey . #scuttlebutt just wouldn't work for me. This place is more/differently focused? And wider.
Am still chugging away on #PatternLanguage for #commoning when I have a brain cell free but right now the #RobinMurray #SocialEconomy #loomio group uses all capacity. Great group, loads of diverse experience, loomio averse email addicted!
@strypey When @richdecibels boosted #scuttlebutt in his new year blog at Medium I gave it a go. Installed it - but altho I could see goings-on, apparently nobody could see me. After a month as a ghost I uninstalled the app!
Wasn't sure about blockchain either - I can see the security. And support for ad hoc network access - so if you live on a boat or in the Blue Mountains this is cool. But somehow I begrudge the filespace on my device. Maybe just an old fashioned expensive-RAM prejudice?
