[insert story you loved as a kid] sequels & reboots don't ruin anyone's childhood; people ruin their own childhoods by abandoning the open-mindedness and sense of wonder with which they discovered those stories in the first place, instead falling back on brand loyalty and a predilection for comfort and familiarity which closes them off from new experiences.

Nostalgia is stagnation. Don't forget the stories you love, but don't let them keep you from growing, either.

I'm just too busy for contracting; I have long-term development projects I need to make progress on and I've learned that contracting ruins what little concentration I can muster.

If I knew of someone else who wanted to do this, I'd be referring them.
