I've wrote an issue about how the use of is indirectly supporting fascism and how it can be with low effort be used as an oportunity for struggle against closed societies/borders (in specific the violence condicted by ) and closed software (in specific ).

And there is such a discusting ignorant culture coming straight into my face:

dev of called it being just irrelevant spamming to their clean and shiny world

fuxk you and this entire culture

solidarity with ppl in rojava @paulfree14

This is the moment I where I stop to do promotion for sometimes, delete it from my phone and suggest others to do the same.

Their type of behaviour is complicit in enabeling through them kicking out people that are disturbing their shiny world with issues that *are* completly relevant to their project.

I cannot accept this in any way. Fuxk you twidere dev. (Mariotaku)

github.com/TwidereProject/Twid

@paulfree14 it seems a bit much to me. I can see that MS is supporting ICE. MS bought Github. Twidere is using Github.

But I can not see how Twidere is supporting ICE by using github.

@paulfree14 Please calm down. This is the moment where I stop following you.

@paulfree14 I think this is actually creating a storm out of nothing, and doesn't help FOSS at all.
@paulfree14 If anything, boycotting FOSS projects because they don't move out of github fast enough is playing Microsoft's game.

@bob
I think here is a missunderstanding. My critic is caused by their reply, not them using github nor not moving fast enough away.

@paulfree14 I think that reply was appropriate. If someone spammed the issues on one of my projects, claiming that I was supporting fascism, then I'd be inclined to tell them to go away in a far less polite manner.

Twidere isn't unique in being an Android FOSS project on github. There are lots of them. I don't see how Twidere is somehow specially evil and should be boycotted.

@bob
one can be resisiting fascism while still having specific beheviours that is supporting it.

To check where you disagree with me
(cause I still don't get it)

You disagree that
- is supporting fascism?
- is giving credibility etc. to microsoft?
- using github gives credibility etc. to microsoft?
- giving credibility etc. to microsoft is supporting ICE on moral grounds and by that suporting their legitamacy

@paulfree14 This logic has too many steps. It doesn't pass Occam's razor. It seems unlikely that Twidere supports ICE, and it's not the business of Twidere to solve the problems of US immigration policy or divert scarce resources towards that end.

@bob
>This logic has too many steps. It doesn't pass Occam's razor

here's the logic after Occam's razor:

Bringing value to instiutions that are complicit in mass detention centers etc. is bad.

The questions I asked are to see on which point you disagree. If one of the statements in question is wrong my entire logic is wrong. If not it remains true.
