Can we make this (or another post)
get +500 boosts, proofing that the argument to stay away from the #fediverse because one can here only reach out to a few is completly wrong?
Wondering how high the reach of this post is?
Well, we don't know. We don't track the users.
You only can see the boosts/fav/reply.
If that's a lot, it reached a lot.
If that made one rethink their opinion here you go:

(there is also
#gnusocial #plemora #postactiv #friendica #hubzilla..
@JensE yeah let' say it like this, I'm not tryn to bring those who are just looking for popularity to join.
But for example I'm missing journalists here.
Imagine one is doing an investigative research taking around 6 month.
Sharing your findings with the public is part of your work.
Beside newspaper etc. one is easly very dependend on twitter, facebook or VK.
The only reason I'm still using twitter is cause of journarlist being there.
@paulfree14
That's actually a very good answer, and I'm glad I boosted first and questioned after.
I have a number of family members who have jobs in museums, and i must admit that I hesitate to recommend Mastodon to them because of reach.
Unless they want to run a museum-centric instance, because that would totally work.
For journalists too, I think?
