I'd like to learn #arabic. Any sources you can advice me to do so.
(I can use english and german sources)
@paulfree14 Have you tried Duolingo? I've used it to start learning Esperanto and Spanish. It's a very good starting point, though you'll probably still benefit from a separate guide on basic Arabic grammar and syntax, since Duolingo doesn't "tell," it "shows."
@amikigu @paulfree14 duolingo doesn't have arabic yet unfortunately
@paulfree14 @amikigu but there is an arabic course in the works
@kittybecca @paulfree14 You're totally right! I had a false memory of seeing it there. But we can all start learning it there in March :-) https://www.duolingo.com/course/ar/en/Learn-Arabic-Online
@amikigu @paulfree14 mhm, *but* be aware that courses rarely launch on schedule. they're often early, more often late
@amikigu @paulfree14 and just wanted to add, to both of you: for free software there's also anki which is really helpful
@amikigu @kittybecca
I've started to listen to a course from #languagetransfer.
They try to help one to understand the logic of a language rather then plain memorasation.
@paulfree14 @amikigu thanks this is great
@paulfree14 Search for a tandem partner. I'm sure you'll find one nearby your place. This will help both of you.
@paulfree14 ever heard about languagetransfer ;) ?
@paulfree14 I'll send you a very good book on reading the alphabet when I get home if you want
