Alright so this is kinda random but my school has a #republican club and I want to help form a #left or #socialist club to counter it, I guess? Like I'm not saying anything bad about my classmates (ok that's a lie, I would be offended if I was called a Republican). But my town is somewhat conservative and I want to do something to change that (people are misinformed on #feminism and what #socialism is tho that's true everywhere in America). Any thoughts?

@theanxietyitkillsme You are asking for two fairly complex simple answers there, people will make snap judgements about any left wing group you try and form and that will make it harder/impossible to form and maintain one (this is why people are misinformed to begin with) so while building a group like that is awesome, to educate people to that point you have to reframe it in a way people won't knee-jerk reject. It can be hard to maintain a strong political stance like that.
