- it's based on a discriminative narrative
- it's not at all any critic of what the issue with all cops is
- it doesn't reach any other circle then our own for opening a discourse
- it is very invative for the #backfire effect, and can be through this just counter-effective

If you have a depression, having people telling you to "think positive" is as useful as people telling you to be healthy when having the flu. What does help is having a good psychologist helping you to (re)learn to see the good things you have in your life.

Most important: avoid the supermarket as much as you can. Go to the market and take your own bags ,boxes and nets with you. Also attend the little ones: bakery, fish store, butcher, tea shop, Turkish shop, shops for nuts, for cheese. They are flexible and often agree that plastics are no good.

I was very fond of Google and its "Don't be evil" motto when it first appeared, so over time I kinda let myself get caught up in their proprietary culture. It feels good to be coming back to my senses :) My two remaining hurdles are email, and a phone running a Free OS.

I was thinking this morning about how often I've seen folks(myself included) posting about struggles with mental and emotional well-being, and about the amazing friendships I've made here which have helped me more than I can say.

That led to another thought: what if there was a network of Mastodon users or even an instance dedicated to offering that kind of support? Users, not necessarily professionals, who are willing to just listen.
